The Store Room

The store room had all the food provision for the daily need of the family and the workers. It was in this room that meals were planned for each day and the necessary food items measured out to feed about 40 - 50 people (including family members, servants field workers and visitors). Traditionally, Bhutanese relied more on volume than weight for measuring grain and other food items. The utensils for measuring food are included among the exhibits.
